Packaging from WERIT for chemicals, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics

Store, stack, transport ... cleanly, safely and efficiently. Chemicals are among the most frequently transported economic goods of all. They are transported in large quantities by road, rail or water. It is not only the chemical industry itself that transports chemicals, but also trading companies in other industrial sectors that transport a considerable amount of chemical substances and mixtures every day.

There are numerous laws, regulations and guidelines in Germany, the EU and even worldwide that apply to the transport of so-called dangerous goods, which primarily ensure compliance with special transport and safety measures to protect people, animals and the environment. Typical hazardous goods include acids, alkalis, flammable paints, gases or even pesticides and insecticides.

Swivel stacking container U-edge

WERIT stacking containers with U-sides are especially suitable for use in the food industry and can be stacked with or without lids when full. When empty, they can simply be nested inside each other. The large corner radii and smooth base make them particularly easy to clean and the all-round U-edge offers maximum carrying comfort.

Hygienic and safe intralogistics

Turnable stacking containers with a U-edge in sizes 600 x 400 and 800 x 600 mm are particularly suitable for use in the pharmaceutical, chemical and cosmetics industries. They can be easily stacked on top of each other and transported on pallets. This allows you to optimise your transport costs many times over. The high-quality workmanship and manufacture from HDPE as well as the ergonomically adapted shapes thanks to the U-edge guarantee a high level of carrying comfort and easy handling of the stored goods. When the containers are empty, they can be nested inside each other for return transport, saving 65% space, time and costs. They are ideal for both manual handling and automatic conveyor technology. The stackable boxes are also resistant to acids and alkalis, as well as cold and heat.

The wide range of stackable containers includes many different sizes made of plastic and is characterised in particular by its diverse range of applications. With the stackable containers from WERIT, you can store and transport goods hygienically, safely and conveniently.

Best products for transport and storage

The transport of sensitive goods places high demands on suitable packaging. We know the special features of the industry and are familiar with the high hygiene requirements in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries as well as the extensive safety guidelines in the chemical industry. Added to this are the effects of climate change, capacity bottlenecks, dilapidated infrastructure and digitalisation.

Pharmaceutical and chemical logistics companies face real challenges, as they are dominated by global supply chains that include the supply of raw materials and preliminary products as well as the sale and distribution of finished products. Reusable transport packaging, Hygienic pallets or IBC are specially developed for this use, certified and fulfil these technical and hygiene requirements.

The Clean Box from Bio-Circle

Bio-Circle Surface Technology GmbH is an internationally active company with headquarters in Gütersloh, North Rhine-Westphalia. Founded in 1985 as a two-man business by graduate engineers Ulrich and Manfred Berens, the company has been specialising in the development, production and sale of chemical and biotechnological surface technology products for more than 30 years.

For the "CLEAN BOX" range of mobile parts washers, Bio-Circle uses the WERIT rotary stacking container DSB-N. The different variants of the CLEAN BOX are effective for pre-cleaning small, but also large and difficult-to-handle parts. This makes this concept applicable in many factory and production areas, such as maintenance, mechanical engineering or industrial construction. The CLEAN BOXes are characterised above all by their circulation system, easy handling and the use of low-temperature cleaners.

Safety for hazardous goods

Dangerous goods must be packaged differently depending on their properties and safety requirements. Drums, canisters and IBCs must comply with internationally defined safety regulations and are subject to regular inspections by the relevant authorities for their specific use. Extensive stress tests are carried out. Despite the high safety precautions, accidents occur time and again when transporting hazardous goods.
In response to this, we have developed the UN-certified TOPline IBC, which is available with approvals up to a material density of 2.4 kg/l. Liquid goods such as alkalis, acids, paints or special solutions are thus  safely packaged. WERIT has thus set a benchmark for the German market.
With the multi-layer POLYex IBC, we have developed a container that cannot become electrostatically  charged during filling, emptying and handling. The conductive outer layer of the inner container, an integrated, conductive outlet fitting, a grounding cable bolted on both sides and a grounding plate on the pallet prevent the ignition of flammable liquids through discharge.

Plastic pallets for the chemical industry

WERIT offers you an economical alternative for the distribution and storage of medium-heavy goods in the chemical industry with the IKP 1213 and 1215, as both plastic pallets are made from pure HDPE reclaimed material.
They are robust, dimensionally stable and durable plastic pallets in industrial dimensions of 1200 x 1000 mm with 3 or alternatively 5 runners and are characterised in particular by their wide range of possible variations and areas of application in the chemical industry. The use of IKP1213 and IKP1215 plastic pallets can optimise the shipping of goods and the different types of packaging such as containers, bags, octabins, drums or cardboard boxes, as the risk of damage to the load is minimised and the flow of goods can take place without disruption.

In addition to the economic reasons for using plastic pallets, it is also worth taking a look at the occupational safety of the employees who work with the load carriers on a daily basis. Here, the safe, lightweight and practical plastic pallets in the IKP series offer clear advantages over wooden pallets. Compared to a wooden pallet weighing over 20 kg, the IKP1213 or IKP1215 are significantly lighter at 14 or 15 kg.
Due to the material used, there is no risk of injury from splinters or nails.
In contrast to wood, a plastic pallet does not absorb moisture. The resulting constant tare weight and the pallet's low deflection values make it the perfect companion in all areas of logistics in the chemical industry.
