Domestic waterworks

Efficient domestic waterworks for sustainable and automatic water supply

A domestic waterworks is a system that draws water from an alternative source (e.g. rainwater, well water or a cistern), stores it, pumps it and makes it available to the household. It functions in a similar way to a small, private water supply system and works with a pump, a pressure switch and usually a pressurised tank. Domestic waterworks such as AquaFlow utilise alternative water sources efficiently and offer a quiet, reliable and sustainable supply for the home and garden with automatic control, drinking water replenishment and energy-saving pump technology.

AquaFlow

How does the domestic waterworks work?

The AquaFlow domestic waterworks are fully automatic operating and monitoring stations with pump, controller and integrated drinking water supply. The water is drawn from a cistern via a suction hose and supplies all consumers for garden irrigation, toilet flushing and washing machines, irrigation and cleaning systems or cooling systems. If there is not enough grey water available for operation, the AquaFlow domestic water centre automatically supplies the consumers with drinking water via an integrated, certified make-up water supply.

The AquaFlow can be installed in the basement, in the garage or in a ground floor room. The AquaFlow is equipped with NUVOS pump technology with a highly efficient permanent magnet motor and inverter technology. This results in very low power consumption, low noise levels and a long service life.

They already fulfil the efficiency standards of the European Ecodesign Directive for energy-using products (EuP). Other features, such as pressure adjustability, anti-freeze, dry-running and temperature protection, make these systems the perfect companion for numerous water supply applications.

What is a domestic waterworks used for?

A domestic waterworks is used to:

  • automatically feed rainwater or well water into household pipes.
  • To supply non-drinking water-related tasks such as toilet flushing, garden irrigation or washing machine operation.
  • Keep the line pressure in a domestic water supply constant.

Features of a domestic waterworks

Automatic operation
Switches on when water is required and switches off again when there is no demand.

Integrated pressure switch
Controls the water pressure and ensures that the pump starts/stops when required.

Pressure tank (membrane tank)
Ensures even water pressure and reduces the number of pump starts.

Versatile water sources
Can be connected to cisterns, rainwater tanks, wells or other water storage tanks.
