WERIT is expanding its market position in the Netherlands

Plastics specialist to take over the business operations of Rezi Sanitair Nederland on 1 October and continue existing customer relationships

Altenkirchen, 29 September 2026
WERIT Kunststoffwerke W. Schneider GmbH & Co. KG is continuing to expand its business in the Netherlands. With effect from 1 October 2026, the plastics specialist will take over the business activities of Rezi Sanitair Nederland BV, based in Valkenswaard. This move follows the retirement of the company’s long-standing Dutch partner. WERIT will continue to serve existing customers, thereby strengthening its position in the Dutch market for sanitary and building services.

Rezi Sanitair has a long history in the Dutch sanitary market. The company emerged from Philips Sanitair, which was founded in 1940, and has been operating under its own name since 1997. Rezi develops and distributes sanitaryware products for residential and commercial construction, as well as for renovation and maintenance. The product range includes, amongst other things, toilet cisterns, pre-wall systems, flush plates and toilet seats. Distribution is carried out via sanitaryware wholesalers.

WERIT and Rezi Sanitair have enjoyed a close working relationship for many years. With the acquisition of Rezi Sanitair’s business activities, WERIT is now taking this partnership to a new level. At the same time, the company is gaining additional customer relationships in a market that WERIT already serves through its Building Services division. “The Netherlands is an important market for our Building Services division. With this acquisition, we are further expanding our presence there whilst continuing the customer relationships that Rezi Sanitair has built up over the years. Our aim is to continue offering customers personalised support and a long-term, reliable partnership in the future,” says Benjamin Schmid, Head of the Building Services Business Unit at WERIT. “In doing so, we can build on the long-standing partnership between Rezi and WERIT.”

Direct support from WERIT
For Rezi Sanitair’s customers, the transition should be as straightforward as possible. Support will in future be provided by Andreas Wagner, Head of Sales for Building Services in the DACH region and Benelux at WERIT, and Rob Berghaan, who already looks after the Belgian, Luxembourg and Dutch markets for WERIT. Both will coordinate the future collaboration directly with Rezi’s existing customers.

With WERIT, customers also gain access to a plastics specialist with a Europe-wide presence. In its Building Services division, the company develops solutions for sanitary engineering, sustainable water management and tank technology. WERIT combines in-house development and manufacturing with a sales and service structure across several European markets.

The acquisition of Rezi Sanitair’s business activities thus complements WERIT’s existing Benelux operations. The company is expanding its customer base in the Netherlands and intends to serve the market even more effectively through its own sales organisation in future.
