The Euro measure - standardisation for maximum compatibility
The Euronorm stacking boxes are based on the so-called Euro dimension, a standardised dimension for transport containers. The Euro dimension was originally developed in conjunction with the Euro pallet to enable easy standardisation within European freight transport. Since the 1960s, binding formats have been established that make it much easier to exchange and stack containers. As early as 1968, Euro mesh boxes were standardised as supplementary transport containers for Euro pallets, which formed the basis for today's Euronorm stacking boxes.
Standardised dimensions ensure maximum compatibility with Euro pallets, storage systems and conveyor systems. Standardised stacking heights and basic dimensions increase efficiency, optimise storage and transport capacities and save valuable space. At the same time, the flexibility of the system allows different products and containers to be easily combined without having to make individual adjustments. In addition, the universal standard sizes reduce effort and costs during transport, storage and handling.
The Euro size makes perforated Euro containers particularly practical and efficient: the standardised dimensions enable easy stacking, space-saving storage and smooth transport. The smallest standard size is 300 × 200 millimetres, while the 400 × 300 millimetre and 600 × 400 millimetre formats, which are frequently used in industry, trade and logistics, are particularly popular. The largest standard size is 800 × 600 millimetres and offers sufficient capacity for larger transport and storage requirements. Thanks to the standardised dimensions, the Euro containers are optimally compatible with Euro pallets, storage systems and conveyor technology, which makes processes more efficient and cost-effective.
WERIT's perforated Euro containers
The advantages of an openwork Euro container lie both in the standardised size and in the practical, easy-to-grip handles, which facilitate safe transport. The containers are made from 100 per cent reusable plastic, which is guaranteed food-safe. This guarantees resistance to cold and heat as well as insensitivity to acids and alkalis. Another plus point is that this product is ideal for cleaning. This applies to all our products, from Euro containers with lids to Euro crates and ESD containers.
They are primarily used in the food industry, but also in retail and meat processing. There are also other applications in trade and industry.
We would like to emphasise the wide range of accessories available for the perforated Euro containers. If you wish, you can not only order the stackable crates in different heights, but also obtain support lids or hinged lids. The range also includes matching snap-on lids. For perfect categorisation, label holders are available and transport is facilitated by trolleys with a TÜV/GS seal, which fit the formats of the Euro containers, such as E1 crates, one-to-one.
